How to debug an ordinary single screw plastic extruder

Precautions for commissioning of ordinary single plastic screw extruder:

1. During installation, ensure the straightness of the center line of the screw barrel and coincide with the center line of the reducer drive shaft

2. The feed inlet of the barrel and the reduction gearbox usually need cooling water to prevent the raw materials from heating and caking at the feed inlet and the reducer from overheating. The cooling water at the feeding port of the barrel is usually controlled by a separate valve, and the cooling water flow is adjusted according to the specific needs. Before the barrel is heated, the cooling water at the barrel feeding port must be opened.

3. According to the working principle of the single plastic screw extruder, the temperature of the barrel section is usually set as a ladder, that is, the temperature of the feeding section is slightly lower, and the melting section and metering section are gradually increased, except for some special raw materials. Generally, the temperature setting when the machine is started is 5-10 ° C higher than that during normal production, and it will return to normal temperature after normal production. After the barrel temperature reaches the set temperature, it usually needs to be kept warm for 30-60min before starting the extruder.

4. When starting the plastic extruder, first run it at a lower speed for a period of time, and then gradually increase it to the normal production speed after the extrusion is normal. Before the plastic melt is extruded from the die head normally, the operator shall keep away from the die head.
